Most buildings around Holmes Beach are homes and vacation rentals. The public beach access like the 46th Street and 52nd Street are peaceful even when the rest of the island is packed with visitors.

Parking is worth thinking about ahead of time. The lots at Holmes Beach are on the smaller side. When the beach is busy, your guests may have a hard time finding parking if they drive on their own.
The Look and Feel of Bradenton Beach
Bradenton Beach is located at the southern end of Anna Maria Island. The highlight here is Coquina Beach. It stretches nearly three-quarters of a mile, giving you plenty of room for bigger guest lists.
If you are planning a Coquina Beach wedding ceremony, you will have lots of backdrop choices for your photos. You can pose by the old stone jetty. You can pose under the shade of tall pine trees. Or you can walk out onto the wide open stretch of white sand.

We always suggest couples start their ceremony around 90 minutes before the sun goes down. This leaves plenty of time for your vows and for taking portraits while the light is still soft and dreamy.
The biggest difference comes down to what ends up behind you in your photos. At Holmes Beach, your sunset images will feature a simple, open horizon with just sky meeting water. At Coquina Beach in Bradenton Beach, sailboats might float through the frame or pelicans could dive into the surf nearby.
Both make for beautiful pictures. It really just comes down to whether you want a quiet, simple background or the opposite.
