HOW DOES PROPOSAL PHOTOGRAPHY WORK?
We’ll work with you ahead of time to plan all the details, including location, timing, and exactly where you’ll stand so everything looks natural and beautiful.
On the day of your proposal, we’ll be nearby and discreetly positioned so we can capture the moment without being noticed. Once you pop the question, we’ll give you a moment to celebrate, then transition into a short engagement-style session right afterward.
WILL MY PARTNER KNOW I’M PROPOSING?
Not unless you want them to! We photograph proposals in a way that feels completely natural, whether that’s blending into the background, photographing the scenery, or appearing as beachgoers so the moment remains a surprise.
WHAT’S THE BEST TIME OF DAY FOR A PROPOSAL?
We recommend planning your proposal about 30 minutes before sunset. This gives you the most beautiful golden light during the proposal itself, followed by soft, romantic light for photos afterward. After the sun sets, we often capture a few additional images during the pastel skies just after sunset.
After photographing many proposals on Anna Maria Island and the surrounding Sarasota beaches, we’ve found sunset timing creates the most stunning results.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THE WEATHER IS BAD?
Florida weather can change quickly, and many showers pass just as fast as they arrive. If rain is in the forecast, we’ll stay in close communication and adjust timing if possible. If conditions aren’t workable, we’ll help you reschedule your proposal based on your availability. Our goal is to make sure your proposal still feels perfect and stress-free, no matter what.
WILL YOU HELP ME CHOOSE A LOCATION?
Absolutely! We’re happy to recommend beautiful, quiet spots on Anna Maria Island, Longboat Key, and the Sarasota beaches.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE PROPOSAL?
After you pop the question, we’ll give you a moment to soak it all in, then guide you into a short engagement-style session. This is when we capture a mix of natural, candid moments and a few lightly guided portraits so you leave with a full gallery of this special moment.
WHAT IF I’M NERVOUS OR DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO?
That’s completely normal—most people feel that way! We’ll guide you through everything ahead of time so you know exactly where to go and what to expect. During the proposal, you can simply focus on your partner and we’ll take care of capturing the moment.
