We are here to help you through the entire process from booking to delivery. Need advice on what to wear, just ask! Not sure what location to choose, we can help! Not sure how to "pose" for the camera, don't worry, we've got you!
The first step is filling out the form below. Tell us about yourself and what kind of session you're interested in. We will answer all of your questions, discuss dates, timing and location.
initial inquiry
I'll email you our portrait contract along with an invoice for the $50 retainer (included in the price) required to hold your date. Both can be completed online. It's very easy!
ready to book
The location of your portrait session is completely up to you! Most of our clients choose one of the gulf coasts beautiful beaches or parks. We love shooting in wide-open natural spaces because the light is divine especially during golden hour. We have some great go to locations, but don't be afraid to think outside the box. For example, maybe you, or someone in your personal or professional network, can secure permission to a location that would otherwise be off-limits, like a beautiful private estate, country club or resort. Maybe it’s a family ranch, upscale hotel or even a boat, airplane hangar or a rooftop view.
Choosing a location
When choosing colors for your outfits, we recommend selecting softer, lighter tones and muted shades. The camera loves shades of soft pink and muted blues, mixed with sophisticated light neutrals like heather gray, creams, leather brown and white. That softer color palette fits beautifully into almost all natural outdoor environments, and especially complements the beach. As you’re coordinating your outfit with your family, keep in mind that your outfits will look the most cohesive on camera when the color palette and wardrobe pieces coordinate, but don’t actually “match.” This will create more visual interest, and allow each personality to shine through.
choosing colors
Before your session, pack a bag with snacks, water and any small objects (like toys or lollipops) that might help us get their attention when it’s time for them to look at the camera. A lot of families discuss and pick something fun in advance as a treat after the session if they’re good listeners, like an ice cream cone, for example. It also helps if their bellies are full and they’ve has some good rest beforehand. Once your prepare them physically and mentally, then feel free to give them (and you!) grace! They’re little, and we know that some days don’t always go as planned. We’ve seen it all and will make sure to get you great photos, regardless of their moods. Our goal is to make this as fun and stress-free as it possibly can be for you and your family!
Prepping the little ones
Within 2 weeks of your session, we'll email you a preview gallery with all the best edited images. You will select the amount of images included in your package with the option to purchase more. When you've finished this step, we'll send you a new gallery to download your full resolution images from. The gallery also has professional print ordering options, but you are welcome to print them at the lab of your choice.

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?
If it's raining or highly likely to be raining during your scheduled session time, we reschedule. If we can't find a time that works for both of us, the $50 retainer fee will be refunded.
WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?
Have you thought about rocking a romantic gown, tulle skirt or flower crown but just never had an occasion for it? This is your chance to go for it! Maxi dresses and flowy skirts look most stunning because they really flatter every female body (keeping in mind it can be windy at the beach). For the guys, think about collars and buttons, even for the beach. A little structure goes a long way. Leave the baggy t-shirts at home. We also recommend staying away from graphics and logos.
DO YOU EDIT YOUR PHOTOS?
Yes! We edit every single photo for cropping, straightening horizons, removing things/people from the background when applicable and enhancing color. However, we do not include advanced photoshop editing that alter your physical appearance. That is available for an additional charge, usually $10-$25 per photo depending on the difficulty and time it will take to complete.
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY PHOTOS?
You will receive a preview gallery within 2 weeks of your session date. Once you choose your images from the preview gallery it only takes 1-2 days to receive your high resolution digital images for download via online gallery.
WHAT IF I NEED TO RESCHEDULE MY APPOINTMENT?
We will do our best to accommodate any rescheduling request, but we cannot put you ahead of other scheduled clients.
WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY APPOINTMENT?
If you need to cancel your photoshoot, the retainer (less 3% processing fee) is only refundable with 30 days notice. If it's less than 30 days before your scheduled photoshoot, you will forfeit the $50 retainer. This is because we hold the date for you and turn away potential clients they may want to book the same day.
WHY DO YOU RECOMMEND THAT I PRINT THROUGH YOU?
Your package includes a print release and you are welcome to print at the lab of your choice. You may also order professional prints through your online gallery. If you order through the online gallery, the quality will be much greater than Wal-Mart or Shutterfly.
WHAT TIME OF DAY SHOULD WE SCHEDULE THE SHOOT?
Sunrise and sunset offer the best lighting for photos.
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE LOCATIONS TO SHOOT?
Coquina Beach on Anna Maria Island is one of our favorites. We also love Siesta Key and Lido beach for beach photos. Sarasota and Bradenton offer several gorgeous locations including The Ringling Museum (they charge an additional fee), Bayfront Park, Phillippi Estate Park and Heritage Harbor Park just to name a few.
