Spencer, Becky & Summer
Love and Style Photography is a family owned and operated team of talented, friendly photographers!
Becky and Summer started off as a husband and wife team, but were beyond thrilled when Spencer, their nephew, developed the same passion for photography. He was a super quick study and now acts as lead shooter, editor and office administrator. He never meets a stranger, kids love his energy and he has a talent for putting you at ease in front of the camera. When booking your session, you'll be corresponding with Becky and Spencer.
Summer, self taught with over 20 years of experience, acts as lead shooter, light master and editing wizard.
Becky, started shooting with Summer in Maui in 2013. With a knack for capturing candids, finding creative angles, and overall keeping us organized, she acts as our second shooter and office manager.

Hello! I’m Spencer, the nephew of Becky & Summer. I originally hail from Columbia, Missouri but I was born in Jacksonville so I’m a Florida boy at heart! My greatest passion in life is traveling and meeting new people along the way. Traveling taught me how special it is when you capture a moment between friends, families, and loved ones while they are experiencing some of the happiest moments of their life, and I have found it infinitely fulfilling doing so. That is why, when Becky and Summer called me up and asked me to be a part of the Love and Style team, I jumped at the opportunity. I have received excellent mentorship from Summer and Becky and have been trained to create the same stunning photos that they have for over a decade. I would truly be honored to not only take your photos but also get to know you and your loved ones along the way, this way we create a comfortable environment which allows your personalities to truly show and me to capture them for eternity.

Hi, I'm Becky! I act as our second shooter at weddings and extended family sessions.I started shooting with my husband, Summer, on Maui in 2013, where we created our first photography business together, Capture Aloha Photography. In the beginning, with zero photography experience, I stuck to the the business side of things. As our business started to grow and I was tagging along to all of our photoshoots, Summer handed me the spare camera and said, "Just have fun and see what you think. It's like treasure hunting." He was right! I immediately fell in love with taking pictures. I retired from massage therapy and went all in with photography. For me, the camera has become both a creative outlet and a tool for being present. When the day to day gets overwhelming, I can pick up my camera and literally focus right now on creating an image that tells a story in your life. It is a privilege that brings me great joy.

Summer is a master of light and has over 20 years of experience behind the camera. He loves color and his photos are both vivid and bright. He grew up in Bellingham, Wa and as a young boy, attended college classes with his mother. One of them being, photography. She practiced a lot on Summer and his brother Sunshine. Summer was inspired by her at very young age to pursue photography as a hobby and then as a career.
Summer and Becky moved to Florida from Maui in 2017. That is where we met, got married, and worked as team shooting both weddings and portraits for five years. We love being closer to family! When we are not working, we enjoy watching movies, hanging out at the beach and spending time with family and our cats, Meli and Ginger.
Summer is a master of light and has over 15 years of experience shooting weddings. He loves color and his photos are both vivid and bright. Becky acts as your second shooter and using natural light, captures those candid moments that happen in-between the poses. We create a stunning photographic collection that represents you, while bringing a fun, happy presence to your session. We are passionate about all things photography, coffee, and travel related. We moved to Florida 6 years ago from Maui. That is where we met, got married, and worked as team shooting both weddings and portraits for five years.
We use a unique combination of both natural light photography as well as off camera flash. We do this because it enables us to deliver a dynamic gallery with a style and range that anyone can appreciate. Our natural light photos are bright and capture the lovely accents of color on the beach like the sea grapes, palms, and of course the gorgeous blue water. Whereas our off camera flash is typically reserved for sunsets and this is how we capture the vivid and dramatic sunset shots you see on our website and examples below. Between our artful use of these two styles and our skilled editing we are sure to create a wonderful collection of images you and your loved ones will admire for years to come.

It began on a beach in Maui, where Summer and I met 12 years ago. He had just moved to the island from Washington state with 1 suitcase and his camera, seeking sunny skies and new adventures. Yes, his name is Summer. His brother’s name is Sunshine. True story. I had also just moved to Maui from Missouri, excited for warm weather and sandy toes, but most of all looking to heal. Scar tissue from 7 abdominal surgeries after a car accident, had left me in chronic, daily pain. After trying what felt like EVERYTHING with little or no relief, I decided I would learn to be happy in spite of the pain. So, I moved to Maui, because in my mind, tropical paradise = happiness. You follow my logic, right?
Well, a few short weeks after moving to Maui, I booked a snorkel cruise. That morning, my boat was cancelled and I was moved to the Teralani, the same boat Summer was scheduled to go on.

I believe it was fate. He was not shy about introducing himself and of course took pictures to document the day. We were fast friends and within a few months I was smitten. He wasn’t phased by my scars or the slower pace I kept because of chronic pain. I fell in love with his kindness, positive attitude and contagious laughter. His passion for photography was also contagious. We have been taking photos together ever since that day and were married in 2015.

Somewhere between starting a business and falling in love, I quit hurting. The physical pain I had been in for years, just went away. Maybe it was the warm weather and frequent dips in the ocean or possibly the extra vitamin D I’ve been soaking up. Summer believes it was love. Paulo Coelho says, “Willpower alone cannot transform you. Love can.” It sounds trite, but maybe love does heal all things.
